Consideration was given to the decisions of the Special Cabinet Meeting held on 29^th April, 2024.

RESOLVED that the decisions be received as a true record of proceedings.

Consideration was given to report of the Scrutiny & Democratic Officer.

RESOLVED that the Cabinet Forward Work Programme 2024-25 be accepted

Consideration was given to report of the Head of Democratic Services, Governance & Partnerships.

RESOLVED that the report be accepted, and Option 1 be agreed, namely:

To consider and support both the Final CS092 Investigation Action Plan Progress Report and request to continue conducting regular core group meetings with a revised membership.

Recommendation to Cabinet

It is therefore, recommended that Cabinet agree to receive continued monitoring of the Welsh Language Standards following the closure of the recent investigation.

Consideration was given to report of the Head of Democratic Services, Governance & Partnerships.

RESOLVED that the report be accepted and the draft Welsh Language Annual Report 2023/24 be approved for continued performance monitoring (Option 1).

Consideration was given to report of the Service Manager Accountancy.

RESOLVED that the report be accepted and Option 1 be approved, namely:-

• Members consider and provide appropriate challenge to the financial outcomes in the report; and 
• Note the application of reserves

Consideration was given to report of the Chief Officer Resources.

RESOLVED that Members accept the report (Option 1) and:-

·       Provide appropriate challenge to the financial outcomes in the report.

·       Continue to support appropriate financial control procedures agreed by Council.

·       To note the budgetary control and monitoring procedures in place within the Capital Team, to safeguard Authority funding.

Consideration was given to joint report of the Interim Corporate Director of Social Services and the Corporate Director of Education.

RESOLVED that the report and the approach and information detailed in the report be accepted (Option 1).
