Minutes:

The Chair declared an interest in the following application and took no part in the discussion or vote.  The Vice Chair, Councillor Peter Baldwin, took the Chair for this application only.

 

Consideration was given to the report of the Team Manager Development Management, whereupon:-

Silent Valley Waste, Beechwood House, Cwm, Ebbw Vale

Erection of a wind turbine and associated works

 

Upon a vote being taken, it was unanimously

 

RESOLVED that planning permission be GRANTED, subject to the conditions detailed in the report and delegated powers be granted to Planning Officers for a slight variation of wording of conditions 22, 28 and 32 detailed in the report.

 

Councillor G. Humphreys did not take part in the vote.

Methodist Church, Powell Street, Abertillery NP13 1EG

Proposed change of use of former Methodist Church to Martial Arts/Gymnasium and dwellinghouse including mezzanine floor and external alterations including decking

 

Upon a vote being taken, it was unanimously

 

RESOLVED that planning permission be GRANTED, subject to the conditions detailed in the report.

 

Councillor J. Holt did not take part in the vote.

RESOLVED that the report be accepted and that Members note the appeal decision by PEDW.

10.

Enforcement closed cases between 5th April 2024 and 15th August 2024

To consider the report of the Service Manager Development and Estates.

Minutes:

Having regard to the views expressed by the Proper Officer regarding the public interest test, that on balance the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information and that the report should be exempt.

 

RESOLVED that the public be excluded whilst this item of business is transacted as it is likely there would be a disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 12, Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

 

Consideration was given to the report of the Service Manager Development & Estates.

 

RESOLVED that the report which contained information relating to a particular individual be accepted and the information contained therein be noted.
