Condolences Minutes: Condolences were expressed to:
- The family of former Councillor and Mayor of Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, Mostyn Lewis who had sadly passed away.
- 21st October, 2024 was the 58th anniversary of the Aberfan Disaster and Members remembered those who had lost their lives during this tragedy.
Members and officers paid their respects with a minute’s silence.

Blaenau Gwent Council Annual Self-Assessment and Well-being Report 2023/24 To consider the joint report of the Chief Executive and Service Manager – Performance & Democratic. It was unanimously,
RESOLVED that the report be accepted and the Council’s Self- Assessment 2023/2024 be approved for publication on the Council’s website and shared with key partners as outlined in paragraph 2.42 of the statutory guidance i.e.:
Paragraph 2.42 - The self-assessment report must be published within four weeks of it being finalised in accordance with the Council’s agreed processes, and a copy should be made available to the Council’s corporate Governance and Audit Committee. The report should also be sent to:

Reviewed Violence and Aggression at Work Policy To consider the report of the Head of Organisational Development. Additional documents: Minutes: The report of the Head of Organisational Development was submitted for consideration.

RESOLVED that the report be accepted and Option 1 endorsed, namely that the proposed review of the Violence and Aggression at Work Policy be approved for implementation.

Application to Lease Club and Premises at Eugene Cross Park, Ebbw Vale To consider the report of the Team Manager – Estates & Strategic Asset Management. Additional documents:
Minutes: Consideration was given to the report of the Team Manager Estates & Strategic Asset Management.
It was unanimously,
RESOLVED that the report be accepted and Option 1 be endorsed, namely that the Trustees, having received confirmation from the Charities Commission that their consent was not required and subsequent advice from Geldards, agreed to proceed with the grant of a 35 year lease on the basis of the Heads of Terms as attached in Appendix 2. The lease would be completed when the Eugene Cross Park Sports Limited (ECPSL) completed an application for the Regulatory Stand Certificate.
